Library Expectations
Knights Library Expectations
Respect, kindness and curiosity are always welcome at Knights Library. If you stick to these points, you'll be an excellent library user!
Read below for a quick rundown of our Library Expections:
- SCHOLARSHIP & CURIOSITY ARE ENCOURAGED.
Browse for books, work independently or in groups. Ask questions, we’re here to help! - Show RESPECT to EVERYONE.
Respect the library, the books & materials, supplies and furnishings. - BE A RESPONSIBLE LIBRARY USER:
Pull only items you need. Place items you don’t want on a table or sorting cart. Be mindful of your volume and surroundings. Be kind when sharing this space. - KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR ITEMS:
Keep track of your own chromebook and personal items. - CLEAN UP
after yourself & your classmates.
Study Hall Time: During periods 1-6, while class is in session, the library is quieter and focused on studies.
- Teachers may send you to the library for research and/or to work on class projects. We love helping our scholars! While it's Study Hall time at the library, keep your voices to a whisper and stick to work.
Community Time: When class is NOT in session... Because everyone needs a break!
- While we're in Community Time mode you can relax and catch up with classmates, check your phone for messages, play games (we have a game cart during lunch), work on personal projects. Community time is before the first bell, after the last bell, during lunch and passing periods. Keep the volume at table talk and enjoy your time at the library! :)
